Sonoma County Pomo Dancers

Kashia Stewarts Point Band of Pomo Indians Tribal Member Dance Group Leader and Group Rockman/Singer Joe Salinas, the Sonoma County Pomo Dancers he founded, in February 2007.

The group, comprised mostly of young Native Pomo Youth ages 3 and up, meets weekly to practice at the Sonoma County Indian Health Project (SCIHP) in Santa Rosa along with some Parents that Dance with the Youth as well. This group of children, youth, and adult mentors and Parents travels all over Northern California, giving dozens of performances annually, and is sustained by Volunteer Native Parents, Native Families and volunteers from our Native Community.
